A message from our President - Mr Greg Finlay

The Texas Show Society welcomes our Patrons, Competitors and Exhibitors to the 2015 Texas Show.  Our hardworking Members and Volunteers have put together a Country Show with something for everyone to enjoy.

The Texas Show continues to showcase our Community with agricultural and community competition, exhibition and events.  We have continued with our focus on families, particularly our children, where we hope to provide opportunities and memories for kids to learn and have fun!

This year the Texas Show Society welcomes Mrs Estelle Drynan the Senior Vice-President of Queensland Shows for the opening of the Texas Show at 12pm ringside.

The show will commence on Saturday with our scheduled Ring Events and Showjumping that will continue throughout the day.  There is a line-up of great entertainment with Stunt Motorcycles, Sideshow Alley and Outdoor Markets to name a few.  There are also Sporting Horse Events later in the afternoon.  All the excitement and big bucking of the Texas Show Rodeo will kick off Saturday afternoon and go into the evening under the lights.  Families and Friends can get together for the fireworks and our band 'Salty Dog' are back to rock the bar and showgrounds into the night.

Sunday morning will see the dust flying again as the Texas Show Campdraft gets underway from 7am as well as anew event for the show this year a 5km Family Fun Run starting and finishing at the grounds.  The Dog events are a must see on Sunday Morning!

I would like to bring your attention to our sponsors.  Please take time to be aware of these loyal and supporting businesses and Individuals.  They are such an important part of running a Country Show and deserve our support in return.

Thank you to everyone that have worked so hard to make the Show happen.  Texans can be proud that the traditional country show is alive and well in Texas.

Greg Finlay - President
